Wabbas Care Foundation (WCF) is an impartial, non-discriminatory NGO dedicated to alleviating human suffering — delivering mental health, drug rehabilitation, HIV/AIDS, GBV response, and youth empowerment programs to the communities that need them most.
Wabbas Care Foundation took drug abuse prevention to the streets — literally. Using the power of sport and movement, WCF mobilised young skaters to roll through communities in Jimeta-Yola, carrying a bold message: a healthy body and a clear mind are the foundation of a strong future. The campaign combined street outreach, school sensitisation, IDP camp visits, and community engagement to reach hundreds of youth across Adamawa State.
Sport is a universal language. By putting skates on young people and sending them through the streets, WCF proves that prevention is not just a message — it is a movement.

WCF organised a community-wide Mental Health Awareness Walk in Jimeta-Yola, partnering with the Karu General Hospital Behavioural Medicine Unit. The walk brought together healthcare workers, students, community members and traditional leaders to raise awareness, distribute pamphlets, and provide on-the-spot mental health screenings.
WCF concluded an intensive 5-day sensitization, counseling, and referral program at the Primary Health Care Centre in Numan, Adamawa State. Health professionals, counselors, and trained volunteers engaged dozens of community members daily — offering awareness talks, one-on-one counseling, and referrals to specialized treatment centers.
WCF distributed 500+ copies of the book "How to Break Free from Drug Abuse and Addiction" to students of Colleges of Health and Technology in Mubi and Michika — equipping future healthcare workers with knowledge to combat drug abuse and become advocates for drug-free communities.

Under the "Breaking the Chains" campaign, WCF visited psychiatric patients at Karu General Hospital, Abuja, delivering essential relief items, personal care packs, educational materials, and emotional support. This initiative underscores WCF's commitment to mental health equity — recognising that psychiatric patients are among the most overlooked and underserved populations in Nigeria. Through direct engagement, gift distribution, and community rallying, WCF brought dignity and visibility to those often hidden behind hospital walls.

"At Wabbas Care Foundation, Every Life Counts" — WCF field team engages youth and families in open-air community sessions
I was lost in drug addiction until Wabbas Care Foundation reached out. Today, I am clean, employed, and training to help others like me find the same way out.
Thanks to WCF's GBV support program, I found the courage and resources to rebuild my life after violence. They did not judge me — they helped me stand again.
This book came at the right time. As future health professionals, we now feel more equipped to educate others and protect ourselves against the dangers of drug abuse.
Mental health is often neglected, but today's walk has given me hope that we're moving towards a community where it's okay to talk about it and seek help.
